Abstract. Today, service oriented architecture is recognized as an effective way for organizations to select, evaluate, and combine services, including key activities that take place in different phases of the service life cycle of the service oriented architecture. Service evaluation is one of the key activities in implementing a successful service project. Our goal is to assess the appropriateness of the services identified and the choice of service means using specific techniques to select a service from a set of client profiles. In this research, we are looking at how to use fuzzy logic to evaluate a set of suggested services and combine them. In order to adapt the results of the research with actual values, actual data was used.In this paper we were able to work with the actual data by presenting a suitable combination method to achieve this goal and then, by testing this method with actual data, we were able to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm, and it was ound that this algorithm has the highest accuracy in choosing the optimal combination of services. Keywords: Fuzzy logic, service evaluation, service mixing, service oriented architecture, service selection

To evaluate the genetic diversity in bread wheat landraces along with six controls (Azar2, Fankang, Trakia, Siosson, Gaspard and Gascogne), an experiment based on randomized complete block design with three replications was carried out under drought stress condition in the Agricultural Research Station of Islamic Azad University, Ardabil, Iran. Analysis of variance indicated that there were highly significant differences among the genotypes in all of the traits. There were significant correlations between yield and all of the studied traits. Principal components (PC) analysis showed that five components explained 69.3% of the total variation among traits. The first PC assigned 29% and the second PC assigned 15% and of total variation between traits. The first PC was more related to tiller numbers, fertile tillers, biological yield, grain yield and volume of seed plants. Therefore, selection based on first component is helpful for a good hybridization breeding program. A principal component biplot showed low distance between grain yield and biological yield, volume of seed, plant height and hectoliter. From this study, it was concluded that a good hybridization breeding program can be initiated by the selection of genotypes from the PC1.Keywords: Bread wheat, biplot, landrace, drought stress, agronomic trait

2D and 3D Covalent Organic Frameworks:Cutting-Edge Applications in Biomedical Sciences

    Get PDF
Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are crystalline porous organic structures with two- or three-dimensional (2D or 3D) features and composed of building blocks being connected via covalent bonds. The manifold applications of COFs in optoelectronic devices, energy conversion and storage, adsorption, separation, sensing, organocatalysis, photocatalysis, electrocatalytic reactions, and biomedicine are increasing because of their notable intrinsic features such as large surface area, porosity, designable structure, low density, crystallinity, biocompatibility, and high chemical stability. These properties have rendered 2D and 3D COF-based materials as desirable entities for drug delivery, gene delivery, photothermal therapy, photodynamic therapy, combination therapy, biosensing, bioimaging, and anticancer activities. Herein, different reactions and methods for the synthesis of 2D and 3D COFs are reviewed with special emphasis on the construction and state-of-the-art progress pertaining to the biomedical applications of 2D and 3D COFs of varying shapes, sizes, and structures. Specifically, stimuli-responsive COFs-based systems and targeted drug delivery approaches are summarized

Borhan: A Novel System for Prioritized Default Logic

Prioritized Default Logic presents an optimal solution for addressing real-world problems characterized by incomplete information and the need to establish preferences among diverse scenarios. Although it has reached great success in the theoretical aspect, its practical implementation has received less attention. In this article, we introduce Borhan, a system designed and created for prioritized default logic reasoning. To create an effective system, we have refined existing default logic definitions, including the extension concept, and introduced novel concepts. In addition to its theoretical merits, Borhan proves its practical utility by efficiently addressing a range of prioritized default logic problems. In addition, one of the advantages of our system is its ability to both store and report the explanation path for any inferred triple, enhancing transparency and interpretability. Borhan is offered as an open-source system, implemented in Python, and even offers a simplified Java version as a plugin for the Protege ontology editor. Borhan thus represents a significant step forward in bridging the gap between the theoretical foundations of default logic and its real-world applications

Application of a new approach for modeling the oil field formation damage due to mineral scaling

    Get PDF
International audienceMineral scaling has been considered a great concern for developing the oil production from the underground petroleum reservoirs. One of the main causes of this phenomenon is known as the chemical incompatibility of injected brine, frequently sea water, with the reservoir brine leading to the deposition of various supersaturated salts such as calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate and barium sulfate. In present communication, an evolutionary approach namely, Gene Expression Programming (GEP), was employed for rigorous modeling of formation damage by mineral scaling of mixed sulfate salt deposition. At first, a large databank of damaged permeability datapoints as a function of injected volume, injection flowrate, temperature, differential pressure and ionic concentrations of the existing chemical species in the porous media was employed. In this regard, a user-friendly correlation was extended for the first time by the aforementioned technique in the literature. Professional evaluation of the suggested GEP-based model was implemented by different statistical parameters and appealing visualization tools. Having proposed the GEP-based correlation, statistical parameters of the Average Absolute Relative Deviation Percent (AARD%) of 0.640% and determination coefficient (R2) of 0.984 was calculated. Accordingly, it is demonstrated that the proposed model has a superior performance and great potential for efficient prediction of damaged permeability due to the mixed sulfate salt scaling. Moreover, the implemented outlier diagnosis technique verified the validity of the databank used for modeling, as well as the high robustness of the suggested model was confirmed. In conclusion, the developed correlation in this work can be of enormous practical value for skillful engineers and scientists in any academic study and industrial applications dealing with mixed salt deposition

Objective: To reach the World Health Organization's goal of improving community oral health, Iranian oral health policy-makers expanded the scope of oral health by including dental public health (DPH) courses in the latest dental curriculum to improve students' competencies. The aim of the current study was to evaluate DPH competencies in senior dental students at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, according to specified educational objectives. Methods: In the present cross-sectional study, 195 senior dental students (enrolled in 2014-2015) filled up an online standardized questionnaire. The instrument included demographic information as well as 31 statements about ten domains of DPH. Participants used self-assessment method to report the level of their competencies on a Likert scale of 0-10; Zero indicating "not competent at all", and 10 indicating "fully competent" for each statement. Then the mean score was calculated for each domain. Data analysis was conducted using Independent samples, T-test, One-way ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U-test, and Kruskal-Wallis via SPSS version 21. ResultsThe sum of scores for each participant was within the range of 63 to 310, and the mean (SD) was 216.68 (±43.69). Students were most competent in "Providing preventive dental care" (8.22±1.59), "Adherence to professional ethics" (7.56±1.68), and" Understanding determinants of oral health" (7.50±1.52). They were least competent in "Understanding components and functions of healthcare system" (5.96±2.06), "Planning" (6.06±2.45), and "Oral health research" (6.24±2.44). The mean score for females' (223.30±38.21) was significantly higher than males' score (207.15±49.25), (P=0.011). Conclusion: Although higher competencies were achieved in "Providing preventive dental care", "Adherence to professional ethics", and" Understanding determinants of oral health"; there are more areas to be accomplished, such as "Understanding components and functions of healthcare system", "Planning", and "Oral health research". These findings could be helpful either in revising the content materials, teaching methods, or both

Vasorelaxant Effect of a Newly Synthesized Dihydropyridine Ethyl Ester (DHPEE) on Rat Thoracic Aorta: Dual Mechanism of Action

    Get PDF
Introduction: DHPEE is a newly synthesized compound by merging the key structural elements in an angiotensin receptor blocker (Telmisartan) with key structural elements in 1,4- dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker (Nifedipine). In this study, we examined dual calcium channel blocking and AT1 antagonist activity for DHPEE. Methods: The functional inhibitory characteristics of DHPEE were studied in vitro in rat thoracic aorta preparations precontracted by phenylephrine (1µM) or KCl (80µM) or Ang II in normal or calcium-free solutions. Results: Concentration–dependent significant relaxation was observed in aortic rings precontracted with phenylephrine, KCl or Ang II. The tension increment produced by increasing external calcium was also reduced by DHPEE. DHPEE caused a marked decrease in the maximal contractile response of the vasoactive agents and shifted their concentration-response curves to the right. Conclusion: DHPEE possesses dual characteristics and cause vasorelaxation by blocking the L-type calcium channels and blocking Ang II receptors (AT1) in rat aortic smooth muscle

Background: In this paper, to determine the genetic parameters and heritability of physiological traits related to salinity stress in barley (Hordeum Vulgare L.), a 7×7 half diallel cross was conducted at Islamic Azad University, Ardabil, during 2016-2017.Methods: F1 seeds are used in this experiment. These seeds have been grown under non-stress conditions, 8 and 12 dS/ m salinity stress levels, in a greenhouse alongside the parent plants. After exposure of plants to salinity, Leaf chlorophyll content, Chlorophyll Fluorescence and Stomatal Conductance were measured. Results: Narrow sense heritability of chlorophyll content ranged from 0.29 to 0.40. These values for chlorophyll fluorescence ranged from 0.16 to 0.24 and for stomatal conductance ranged from 0.26 to 0.54. Broad sense heritability was high among the evaluated traits and ranged from 0.70 to 0.87. The degree of average dominance was higher than one in all of traits. Conclusion: This observation indicated some degree of over dominance in control of the traits. Although dominant alleles were not observed in leaf chlorophyll content and chlorophyll fluorescence, yet they were favorable in stomatal conductance. Keywords: Salinity tension; Diallel; Heritability; Physiological traits
